Annual Subscription Fees

When a candidate has been duly elected to Fellowship, the Academy shall notify the candidate in writing and request the candidate to pay the entrance fee, subscription for the current year and any other fee as determined by the Council from time to time, and the candidate shall not be entitled to exercise his rights as a Fellow or to enjoy the benefits and privileges of the Academy until he has paid such sums.

Upon successful admission to the Academy, each Fellow will be requested to make the following payments:

  1. a one-time entrance fee;
  2. subscription fee; and
  3. contribution of pledge to the Building and Endowment Fund of S$1,000

Effective from January 2007, the Academy has been registered for GST (except for Colleges). Fellows are requested to pay their annual subscriptions to the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and their respective Colleges separately. Subscription falls due on 1 January of each year and the following rates apply:

Payment Methods and Administrative Charges
Payment Methods and Administrative Charges Payment can be made either by cheque made payable to Academy of Medicine, Singapore, TT/Bank Draft or GIRO (please call the Finance Department for details).

GIRO payment system was introduced in November 2007 for payment of subscription fees for both the Academy and its affiliated colleges. Click here to download the application form for GIRO payment.

The membership subscription is tax deductible in Singapore. For individual donors to the Building & Endowment Fund, you do not have to make a claim in your tax forms if you have given your NRIC/FIN Number for the donations made on or after 1st January 2001. The amount will be automatically included in your tax assessment.

Individual receipts will be issued for each of the payment. A tax-exempt receipt will be issued for your donation to the Building & Endowment Fund.


Change of Personal Particulars
Members can update their personal particulars (e.g., change of mailing address) via the restricted member login.
