List of Internal Committees
1. Finance and Establishment Review
The Committee keeps the budget, expenditure and the secretariat staffing requirements of the Academy under regular review. It provides a quarterly report to the Council.

2. Education
The Committee advises the Council on all aspects of training and continuing medical education.

3. Constitution Review
The Committee advises the Council on the need for amendments to the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the By-laws and Regulations of the Academy.

4. International Relations
The Committee is responsible for fostering close association with overseas Royal Colleges and other Postgraduate Institutions.

5. Congresses
The Committee advises the Council on matters relating to the sponsorship and organisation of Congresses, Conferences and Scientific Meetings, and undertakes any functions delegated by the Council in connection with such meetings.

List of External Committees
One or more Fellows of the Academy are represented on the following external committees to facilitate national specialist training and certification programmes.
1. Advisory Committee of the Division of Graduate Medical Studies
In keeping with the objectives of the Academy, as stated in the Memorandum of Association, the Academy shall actively participate in the Division of Graduate Medical Studies, National University of Singapore. The Master of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and three other representatives are appointed as members to this committee. The nominees of the Academy shall serve a term of two years and be eligible for re-nominations. One of the nominees of the Academy shall be designated spokesman to report to the Council and to represent the views of the Council to the Advisory Committee. In the event that the spokesman is not a member of the Council, he should be invited to attend its meetings.
2. Committee on Continuing Medical Education (SMC-CME)
One representative from the Council, Academy of Medicine, Singapore is appointed to this committee.
3. Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST)
The advanced specialty training (AST) programmes, which are common to all 35 registered specialties, are administered by the Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST). The JCST is appointed by the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) to set the professional standards for specialist training and establish the framework for assuring the quality of specialist training in Singapore. The JCST also oversees the accreditation of training departments and institutions. The JCST Secretariat is serviced jointly by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and the Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS), National University of Singapore. The Specialist Training Committees (STCs) for the 35 specialties report to the JCST. They are responsible for conducting specialist exit assessments and examinations. The Director, DGMS and the Master of the Academy are appointed as co-chairmen of the JCST. Four other representatives from the Academy are appointed as members to this committee.
4. Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB)
The Master of the Academy is appointed as a member of the SAB.
