European Congress of Radiology
There was a 30 strong Singapore contingent at the recent ECR. Singapore put up an impressive booth, ECR meets Singapore scientific session and a Singapore Evening. CRS thanks all who have made contributions to keep our flag flying high. Special thanks to Dr Tan Bien Soo who put in a lot of hard work in ensuring its success.
Teleradiology
The recent media attention has given impetus to our radiological community to accelerate our development of the national teleradiology grid. I am glad to announce that Dr KM Kho has agreed to chair a task force implement this. Volunteers are needed especially from the younger Fellows who are more IT savvy. Please contact Dr Kho at kmkho11@starhub.net.sg
Election of Councillors
I am happy to announce that Dr Thomas Chee, Dr Tan Bien Soo and Dr Vijay Sethi have been re-elected to CRS Council for 2006-8 unopposed. The post of President-Elect will be open for nominations from the next AGM on 27th April. Please make a point to attend as we will discuss the Strategic Road Maps.
Cardiac CT Training Centres
The following training centres have been accredited:
1. Asia Medic Medical Centre
2. Mt Elizabeth Hospital
3. Radlink Diagnostic Imaging
4. Raffles Hospital
Dr Yeong Kuan Yuen has been appointed in charge of the training programme. Applications should be sent to Tjan Wen Jie at the Academy of Medicine with a cheque of $300.00 payable to the College of Radiologists, Singapore. You should state your preferred training centre and CRS will link you with the person in charge there. You will be provided with a log book for reporting on 50 cases. For review of 25 correlated cases, please arrange with Dr Yeong or Dr Gavin Tseng of Raffles Hospital.
